Management Team

Dr. Pradeep Subrahmanyan – CEO - Dr. Pradeep Subrahmanyan has 11 years experience in various aspects of precision engineering from motion control, actuator design and laser materials processing. Dr. Subrahmanyan graduated with his Ph.D. from MIT and worked at Seagate Technology on magnetic recording technology. Subsequently, he worked at Electro Scientific Industries leading technology and business activities in laser micromachining and laser trimming. He was also responsible for creating a company-wide common platform architecture which is being adopted across business units. Dr. Subrahmanyan has extensive experience in process simulation and development, product development and technical marketing. He has authored three issued patents and eight patents pending besides invited publications at various technical conferences.

Mr. George Gardopee – VP of Pennsylvania Operations  (MS, BS, Pennsylvania State University) – Mr. Gardopee is formerly VP of Operations for IPEC Precision of Bethel, CT, a leading maker of plasma processing semiconductor metrology equipment.  Mr. Gardopee has 25 years management, tool design, and control algorithm development experience. Prior to IPEC Precision, Mr. Gardopee worked at Hughes Danbury Optical Systems and was personally responsible for managing the development and manufacture of several large optics, and the development of advanced glass-ceramic optical materials.  Gardopee is the author or co-author of 5 U.S. patents and a number of technical articles.

Mr. Roman Salij – Director of Business Development (BSE University of Pennsylvania, MBA Northwestern University)  - Mr. Salij has over 20 years of experience in new product commercialization, product management, business strategy, and marketing in both high-tech and industrial markets.  Most recently, at Cabot Microelectronics, he 

served as commercial lead for new products in optics targeted to defense, aerospace, and high-power laser markets and co-authored several papers on the use of CMP in optical polishing.
