Facilities

RAPT Industries has its optics manufacturing facilities at the Northpointe Technology Park in Freeport, PA.  Located nearby is the Penn State Electro-Optics Center as well as the Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Armstrong Campus.  R&D and process development laboratories are in Fremont, California.  These facilities include:

Optical Manufacturing Equipment

• Continuous grinding and polishing machines able to accept flat parts up to 30”
• Single spindle polishing machines
• Sawing, edging, grinding, beveling and curve generation tools
• RAP freeform optical shaping tools

Metrology Equipment

• Phase shift interferometers up to 12”
• NewView 5000 3-D Optical Profiler
• Digital Instruments Nanoscope 300 Atomic Force Microscope
• Contact and non-contact profilometers
• Concave and convex asphere metrology
• Class 1,000 clean room
